Brien Battiste – Cambridge, MA


Brien Battiste  is a second year undergraduate at Harvard College studying economics. Brien has past experience in leadership, fundraising, and organization. Above all else, Brien is very passionate about the mission of SolSolution, specifically because it enhances the educational system while showing communities across the country the beauty of solar power. Within SolSolution, he is responsible for organizing the capital accumulation campaign, helping to create the company’s strategies, and will contribute to the day-to-day operations of SolSolution.


Sara Cutuli Berkeley, CA


Sara Cutuli is in her second year of undergraduate study at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is studying Environmental Protection and Renewable Resource Development. Within this field she will be studying conservation biology and ecology, energy development, and environmental policy.  Sara's role in SolSolution is to raise funds and build a strong donor base.  Her passion for renewable energy and sustainability combined with her personal and professional network make her a valuable asset within SolSolution.


Shreya Dave – Bedford, MA


Shreya Dave is a third year undergraduate studying mechanical engineering with a focus on sustainable energy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has previously worked in the solar energy sector with the Prometheus Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to providing market research and industry analysis to the public for the accelerated deployment of solar energy technologies. Within SolSolution, she is responsible for the research and relationship development with solar energy companies. Her engineering background and previous exposure to the solar energy industry will allow her to asses companies’ technologies and chose the one most suited for the individual project.


Michael Harrison – Lucerne Valley, CA


Michael Harrison is an experienced school teacher in Big Bear, CA. Over the past 25+ years in education, Michael been a respected mentor for his students and fellow teachers. He has an in-depth knowledge of the CA public school system and strong ties within the local school district and to administrators in other CA districts. Within SolSolution, Michael is responsible for facilitating and coordinating communications with schools and school districts, and for operation of the organization.


Soren Harrison – Cambridge, MA


Soren Harrison is a fourth year visiting graduate student completing the research for his dissertation at the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center. Soren has a broad experience base in science, engineering, and technology. In the past two years, he has also explored the entrepreneurial space; Soren successfully started a business that is partially supporting his academic work through a small business grant from the Department of Energy. As the founder of SolSolution, he is responsible for the formation, development, and operation of the organization.


Paul Linden – La Jolla, CA


Paul Linden is the chair of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering, where he is the Blasker Professor of Environmental Science and Engineering. He also is director of UCSD's Environment and Sustainability Initiative and a fellow of both the American Physical Society and the Royal Meteorological Society.  Linden has more than 160 publications in peer-reviewed journals on the topics of geophysical, environmental and industrial fluid dynamics. He has received a great deal of recognition for the application of his work in fluid dynamics to environmental engineering to create more "energy efficient" buildings - many of which are located in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the scientific advisory board for San Diego County.


Marissa Marion – La Jolla, CA


Marissa Marion is a corporate attorney at Cooley Godward Kronish in La Jolla, California, where she represents both public and privately held companies in general corporate matters as well as a wide range of transactions, including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and public offerings. Marissa received a J.D. in 2007 from the University of California, Davis School of Law (King Hall), where she served as a member of the U.C. Davis Law Review and as an executive editor for the U.C. Davis Business Law Journal. She is the author of Preemption of the California Ethical Standards in Securities Arbitration: Jevne v. Superior Court, 7 U.C. Davis Bus. L.J. 401 (Spring 2007). In 2003, Ms. Marion received a Bachelor's degree with highest honors in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.


Andre Ramirez – Cambridge, MA


Andre Ramirez is a first year MBA at MIT Sloan School of Management with extensive experience working with CA education administration systems and renewable energy companies.  Additionally, he has worked and negotiated with politicians on the state and federal levels regarding issues of education. Within SolSolution, Andre is focused on finance, as well as organizational and strategic development.

SolSolution is in the process of obtaining its federal tax-exempt status. Donations are not yet tax deductible. If we obtain federal tax-exempt status, it will be retroactive to our date of incorporation and all donations after that date (Nov 27. 2007) will be  tax deductible.
