Aruna’s Place Goes Solar

Light up kids’ lives! On December 3rd, we celebrated our first solar school installation at Aruna’s Place in Sudbury, MA. The day was filled with award-winning smiles, heartwarming songs, and shiny new solar panels. In case you missed our A Bright Idea celebration, you can still share in our excitement and energy. The day was also a chance to celebrate the accomplishments and strides Aruna’s Place has made in green education. We at SolSolution will help them continue to forge that green path with new solar panels on their roof. The 3.9 kW installation will provide for a significant portion of the school’s electricity needs, and the students will have a unique opportunity to learn about solar energy from the beginning of their scholarly careers.

Recently, Aruna and her preschool have been pressed economically, and some school activities have needed to be cut. By partnering with SolSolution to put solar panels on their roof, Aruna’s Place can generate its own solar electricity and reduce its utility bill, which means there will be more funds for the kids.

Over the 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) that Aruna’s Place has signed with SolSolution, the panels will generate over 4,000 kWh of electricity per year. Aruna’s Place will save over 154,000 lbs of carbon emissions and nearly $30,000 in energy savings.

As of this August, SolSolution collected the full funding for this Aruna’s Place installation with the help of our friends at New Generation Energy. So come and join us for the momentous plugging in of the Aruna’s Place solar panels and become a part of SolSolution history.
