Before the event, we started with $12,990 left to raise, but during the five hours, we saw our Aruna’s Place project thermometer steadily climb upwards. By the end of the event, we raised over $11,000 with contributions from you and New Generation Energy. We now only have $1,552 left to raise, ensuring that solar panels will be installed very soon on our first solar school!

Our partners at New Generation Energy are also ecstatic about the success of their event! With over $15,000 matched within the first hour, Turn Up the Heat was sure to be a success. You can read their post-event coverage right here.

We can only thank our wonderful SolSolution community for continually supporting us in so many ways. We would not have been able to do make it this far without you sending emails to your friends and family, your Facebook and Twitter conversations, and of course your financial contributions. It’s great to have some positive feedback from other organizations supporting the entrepreneurial spirit. The other competing companies are certainly doing some great things as well, but we will continue to work hard and learn as much as we can during the accelerator phase.
